At the Lindner Sock Factory, we manufacture a wide range of sock styles from merino, alpaca and silk, and cotton yarns. Ranging from fine cotton or wool dress socks, merino sports ankle socks, ribbed casual socks, and thick cushioned merino work socks, all made here in our Crookwell factory.
As a family business with ten generations of sock-knitting experience, Lindners know how to make great socks. Traditional techniques, beautiful fibres, and a long history of fine craftsmanship combine to create socks we hope will become your favourite pair.
Our factory is in the small town of Crookwell, NSW; the heart of a pastoral community renowned for producing some of the best quality merino wool in Australia. We’re proud to turn some of this local fleece into socks and other knitwear, employing local people, supporting local wool-growers, and contributing as much to the local community as we can.
Andrew Lindner’s family originally came from Germany in 1987 and re-established their sock-making business here, with the machines they shipped over when they moved. Andrew grew up tending these same machines that still work every day to create the unique socks you’ll find online and in-store.
